I have been on vacation now since last Monday.  I had to go to the doctor on Monday because I was sick the last three days of my trip to Salt Lake City, UT.  I’ve been sick all this week!  Today is the first day that I feel a little more like a human and I have to go to work tomorrow!  Oh well, ‘such is life…’

The one thing that I’ve done this week is install Windows 7 on my Compaq laptop.  All I can say is… WOW!  I really like it.  It runs faster and I really like the new taskbar.  It is a really big help to me with all of the applications I run on a normal day.  You can pin your most used apps to the start menu AND you can pin the most used data file to that app on the task bar.  Right click on the app and it shows you a context menu that has your last used data files and the ones you pin to the app at the top.  Using my personal map with Streets and Trips 2009 is available without having to open Explorer and finding the correct folder then clicking on the data file.  It’s just there!  Wow…  Thanks Microsoft!  Of course, I only looked at it from a “normal” days use of the O/S.
