I’ll start by saying that I’m not sure about the timeline of the travel time of the Chinese spy balloon, but the thing I really don’t understand is when it traveled into and across Alaska, why did the US (the Biden Administration) NOT take care of the problem then?
I was stationed in Alaska, at a radar site, and it just blows my mind that we not only let it travel across Alaska, but allowed it to enter Canadian airspace. That, in and of itself, was dropping the ball on handling this issue. I would not be surprised if the Canadians weren’t upset with the US.
What was the thinking that NORAD was doing???
We have heard so much about Biden’s connection to China and this just seems to add to that thinking.
Biden said that he “told them to shoot it down”, but they wanted to wait for a good place to shoot it down at. This is somewhat understandable, but still questionable!
I’m not sure there is any one way to look at this issue. My personal opinion (and that’s all it is), is that I did not like them taking this long to bring down the spy balloon. I will say that I’m not sure I’m “right” about it, but for me, it’s just a gut feeling.
The last thing I want to say is that as an Air Force veteran, I am proud of today’s airmen for getting the job done, yet again! Thank God for all of the men and women of the military. God bless them and I pray that God will give much wisdom to the leaders in the military. Amen.
